Types Of Virtual Reality:

Non-immersive:

Virtual category can be classified in three main category which includes non-immersive virtual reality in which the individual is completely aware of the surrounding and the physical environment. Here the user is both aware and controlled simultaneously by the physical environment. Video games are examples for this type of virtual reality.

Semi-immersive:

Semi-immersive virtual reality is a type of experience which is partially based on virtual environment, and in which one cannot experience physical atmosphere. Its majorly used for educational purposes like flight simulators to provide flying trainers to pilots.

Fully-immersive:

Last but not the least, fully immersive virtual reality in which one has the power to fully escape reality and take part in virtual environment. most realistic simulation experience, from sight to sound. In present world, there are not much applications for fully immersive virtual reality, but people have argued that car racing games are examples of this type as it provides sense of speed and driving abilities to its user but again research is going on.

  • Vehicle engineer and designers can user this technology to build and design vehicles models for their companies.Even military also has started to use VR applications to create combat simulations and confrontations like real life situations. It saves them to spend money on dangerous guns and weapons where there is risk of life as well.
  • There are various other uses of VR applications in fields like Architecture, Art, Aviation, Aerospace, Data visualization, education, fashion, gaming, manufacturing etc.
